Headings
Headings are used to organize content on a website, giving it structure and making it easier to understand so its important the headings have a meaningful hierarchy.
Users should be able to scan through the headings on a page and get a general outline of what the page is about. The headings should also help users easily find the content they are looking for or provide direction on what sections might be of interest. In order to achieve this each page must:

Have proper heading ranks - Headings should be ranked 1 (
<h1>
) to 6 (<h6>
), most important to least important, respectively. -
Have one
<h1>
- This will provide the user with a general idea of what the page is about.
DONT
- Skip between rankings - A page should not have a
<h2>
followed directly by a<h6>
. - Only style text to be bigger or bolder (use proper markup).
